Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Herrera.

Hi Melissa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.


I started Mimosa Sisterhood podcast in early 2018 after a long traumatic year full of heartbreak, death, grief, and depression. I experienced a wake up call that I’d hit rock bottom and was headed down a dark path of unhappiness. I’d lost myself in the hardship and was seeking unhealthy coping mechanisms to heal my pain. By the end of 2017, I realized I needed help so I signed up for therapy. In addition, I began working on a creative project that would lift my spirits, rebuild my self-confidence, and ultimately remind me that I’m not alone. Alas, Mimosa Sisterhood podcast was born!

My podcast, Mimosa Sisterhood, is helping to rebuild the female connection by celebrating the unique lives of women throughout history. We live in a world that pits women against each other, pushing us to judge and compete. My podcast creates a safe place for women to connect, relate, laugh, heal, and find support through those that lived before us, as well as those living alongside us today
